For the best in ranting, semi-conscious bizarre babbling that only deep-woods Alabama Christianity can produce, you have to read Demonbuster.com
Their take on Dungeons and Dragons?
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Fantasy game fought in the minds of the players. Teaches demonology, witchcraft, voodoo, murder, rape, blasphemy, suicide,
assassination, insanity, sex perversion, homosexuality, Satan worship, barbarianism, cannibalism, sadism, demon summoning, necromancy and divination. Human sacrifice.
Hey!! I missed out on the sexual perversion! What module was that in?
The best part is that the idiot who put these pages together actually advertisies for more web design work at the bottom of most pages.

Date: 23 Jan 2002 10:05 (UTC)Dunno about modules, but it was definitely in the mind of one of my DMs. My character was... seduced by a demon (well, demi-god, really) and then forced to bear his child. Lovely. Needless to say, I didn't stay in that game much beyond that point.

Date: 23 Jan 2002 10:47 (UTC)It does bring up an interesting question, though...among the RPGers reading this, who has played in games which prominently featured sex? How was it handled? It seems like it would be an emotional minefield for certain players (and certain GMs, for that matter).
Good question...
Date: 23 Jan 2002 13:02 (UTC)In the longest running campaign I was in (Battletech) my character wound up married to an NPC, and there was definite roleplaying of some parts of their relationship, though it stayed strictly within the game. It *was* damned amusing, though, to kiss the GM (who was playing the NPC), in front of his girlfriend and watch her fall over laughing at the expression on his face. It was a perfectly reasonable thing for my character to do, too. She and the NPC had been flirting for ages, and he had just risked his life to save hers, and she was visiting him in the med unit afterwards. *Of course* she kissed him. (I should note, though, that I wouldn't have done that if I'd thought it would cause problems between the GM and his girlfriend. They were my best friends, and remained so for years after that event.)
As a general rule, I'd say that sex in RPGs is something to handle VERY carefully, though. It can be fun to develop that side of a character, but it IS a bit of an emotional minefield that needs to be danced through with great care and agility.
