Especially when it's one of the markers for LJ's XML (i.e. <lj user=gridlore> which produces gridlore). You'd think they'd include their own markup language in their dictionary (and have it work in preview mode).
Based on my test, XML tags, when used as tags, are not checked by the spelling checker.
Oddly enough, when I used "LJ" (http://www,livejournal.com) as a link, it didn't show up as a misspelled word; when standing alone, "LJ" is considered a misspelling....
