I have an interview Thursday for a job I had forgotten I had applied for. From what the guy told me, it is sort of like a receptionist/guard/doorman position. They want someone on their desk from 1600 to 2400 to make sure people sign in and out, answer the phone, etc.

The problem is that bloody VTA stops running when the sun goes down, it seems. So I'll have to save up for a bike or scooter to get home.

Would the job be within 20mi of your place? Got (or could get) $200? I bought an electric scooter with a 20mi range (with a max speed of 20mph) -- now that my job stuff has changed, I'm thinking of selling it. ...Considering you are not driving, can you ride a scooter? I recently found out that 2 wheel scooters require an M1 or M2 license. (3-wheeled scooters or motorcycles with sidecars are ok with a Class C license.)

On the bike front, my mother has a 3spd & a 10spd that she's looking to give away. Both are old Schwinn narrow-tired bikes, have some rust, & the tires are shot... but they'd probably still work well if the rust were removed & new tires put on. (This would be the least expensive of my 2 options -- if you are interested.)
