My eyes get some help, finally.

After several months of seeing Dr. G, and having her waffle and be indecisive, she finally referred me to Dr. C, another ophthalmologist in the same office.
Today I saw Dr. C. The usual tests and pictures were taken. Within five minutes of Dr. C meeting with me, she decided that I was fine for cataract surgery, and sent her scheduler in to see me.
I am now scheduled for cataract surgery on my left eye on September 14th.
I am greatly relieved by this, but also frustrated. How many weeks did we waste with Dr. G over this?
At least we now have a plan going forward.

Date: 7 Aug 2021 00:31 (UTC)I *think* cataract recovery just requires maybe one or two nights of sleeping vaguely upright, but if you get stuck with sleeping on your face, call me ASAP; I have a massage face cradle which slides under a mattress and is the only sensible solution to "you must sleep on your face or your eyeball might misbehave" really.
