Sword Song by Bernard Cornwell

This isn't going to be a long review. I'm just going to say that I'm happy my job is started up again soon, as I need to order the next set of novels! They are really good!

Cornwell admits in the historical note after the novel that this time around much of the action that drives the plot was made up. He frames it around actual events and the usual cast of real and fictional characters, but the whole storyline of a captured princess and a daring rescue attempt never really happened.

But still, it's a great book, and always, it sets up the next chapter nicely.
