One week in, and we are 7-0!
Oddly for a team that wasn't supposed to be a power hitting team, we lead the NL in home runs. Go figure.
Yesterday was our home opener, with the three Alou brothers (who played outfield together in 1963 - only time that's ever happened) throwing out the first pitch. A fun moment came when the visiting Padres were introduced, to a chorus of boos. Then it was mentioned that they had just taken three of four from the Dodgers, and the booing turned to wild cheers.
We squandered a 4-0 lead, but scored three in the eighth to maintain out perfect record.
San Francisco Giants: 7
San Diego Padres: 4
Tonight is our first home night game, and very soon that team from LA crawls into Pac Bell..
BEAT LA!
BEAT LA!
BEAT LA!

What about Those Astros
That Jeff Kent guy still hasn't proven himself, but a few more sessions in the shock room will help him come around
