I really need to find a Champions game.
Sep. 10th, 2019 01:42 pmI want to design a telekinetic hero whose powers manifest as a spectral hand.
He'd be Bigby, and I'd play him as a complete geek
I went ahead and designed Bibgy in HeroMachine 3. As I see him, he started developing telekinesis in high school, where he used it for a minor advantage in football games.
As his powers grew, he consulted an online forum for those developing powers and was advised to imagine his power as being an extension of his own hand. Much to his frustration, this worked, but any time he really exerts his ower (anything about 5 STR in Hero terms) a ghostly hand appears.
After a brush with the Agents of Ψ, he was taken in by the Bay Guardians for training. Being a huge D&D nerd, he chose the name Bigby and decided to disguise the true nature of his powers by adopted a magical theme.
The reformed villain Trickster, now the Guardians armorer, has helped Bigby with a number of small devices that mimic magical effects, like smoke bombs, a stunner concealed in one Bigby's armbands and the like.
When questioned, Bigby claim,s to be from the City of Greyhawk and came to this reality through a magical attack. Real wizards know he's lying through his teeth, but let him get away with it.
