Last November, I had an eye exam so I could update my prescription. Dr. Shah found what appeared to be a cataract in my left eye. OK, it happens, even to the best of us. Schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist, which was today. I went expecting a plan of treatment.
I left with two prescriptions for eye drops, including a steroid; an emergency appointment with a retinal specialist tomorrow morning in Santa Cruz; orders for lab work; orders for a chest X-ray; two follow-up appointments that Dr. Govorkova wanted to be next week, but her schedule is filled; and a ton more worry than when I started.
The worst part is my vision has gotten bad enough that I refuse to drive due to the risk. So Kirsten is having to take the time to haul me around for all this! Which means she is off the clock and not making money.
Grrr... It's 2021, where da fuck are my cybereyes?
