A productive day!
Oct. 11th, 2011 01:57 pmGot the following accomplished:
For me, that's a full day. I was supposed to go to Costco to shop, but forgot my card. Smart & Final works just as well for the few things I needed (fake Mexican food, mostly.) One nice thing, I looked closely at my last stub from EDD at vacation pay is specifically exempted from income reporting requirements.
Tomorrow I have to get up early for a blood draw, and I may return one of the things I bought at GameKastle.. a book on fantasy firearms that went way too advanced with the guns. I want matchlocks and arquebuses, not revolvers and bolt-action rifles! The reason is simple: early firearms were inefficient and unwieldy. An arquebusier needed to keep his match lit, fumble with powder and ball, set up a post, then fire - hoping that the damned contraption didn't explode in his face! It's why European armies kept the sword, spear, and bows for centuries after cannon became the siege engine of choice.
Yes, I'm working on the Elven Pirates of the Caribbean game again. You have been warned!
