Today's video was going to be Motley Crüe doing The Beatles' classic Helter Skelter. This was of course the song that inspired noted homicidal lunatic Charles Manson to believe that he was being ordered to start a racial war in the US by murdering people. Sad that such a great song got linked to such a nut case, but anyway, the reason is you're not seeing the Crüe this morning is the video I had bookmarked had been pulled. I found another one, this even at the US'83 Festival (look for me in the crowd!) but the sound and video were badly unsynched. Time for a quick search for a replacement!
Playing with different metal act names and the word "covers" in Google's video search, I cam across Killswitch Engage, an American melodic metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, performing Dio's classic Holy Diver. The video is a rather humorous take on the original 1982 video for the song. So enjoy this morning's emergency replacement cover: Killswitch Engage - Holy Diver
