However, she's also the descendant of a notorious pirate, and shortly after you meet you will both be kidnapped by a ring of Burmese Pokemon smugglers. Separated, you will vow vengeance and spend five years kneeling daily in the snow before a hidden ninja temple in Nepal. Finally, one of the ninjas will ask if you ever considered opening the door. Despite this, you are admitted for training.
After twenty years, your student loans run out, and you are expelled from the temple. Remembering why you came here in the first place, you wander the world, picking up clues and and a nasty case of pink-eye. Along the way, your legend grows until your name is on every lip in every every dark corner of the world. Which kinds of sucks, actually, given the whole "stealthy ninja" thing.
Finally, on August 23rd, 2043, you find yourself on mysterious Oak Island in Canada, home to the famed Money Pit. Your love, now a pirate herself (actually a corporate lawyer specializing in takeovers - same thing) has finally unlocked the secret of the pit! You fight your way through her guard to the bottom of the pit, fall to one knee, and declare your love.
She doesn't recognize you. It has been 30 years, after all. In anguish, you slay her, *then* remember you still had your ninja mask on. D'oh! At least the treasure is yours... except that it turns out to have been a real elaborate geocache and is filled with Pokemon cards.
Then the weasels come.
