Had a bad monent last night when I thought I had lost Mr. Bigglesworth. After leaving my panel on RPG war stories (where I had used the comp to read [livejournal.com profile] isomeme's story about Franz Arrit) I got back to the room to discover the laptop pocket in my bag wide open and no computer. Panic set in. I searched my route three times, filed a lost item report, and in general acted like the parent of a lost child.

This morning, I reached into the main body of my backpack for a book and pulled out... Mr. Bigglesworth.

Amazing what not getting any sleep for close to 20 hours will do for you ability to think of things like "looking in the rest of the bag first."

Panels have gone well, people have been met, I got the Top Secret Ribbon from [livejournal.com profile] katster (Go Giants!) and the universe shrank a little more when I learned that [livejournal.com profile] betnoir's husband, [livejournal.com profile] western_slope, went to Harvey Mudd with [livejournal.com profile] isomeme.

And I slept through the fire alarm.

Back from the Tim Powers interview. The man is too interesting and funny by half. Learned a lot about research just listening to him.

After the talk, he autographed items fir the adoring horde. He drew an amazing portrait of Horrabin in a copy of The Anubis Gates, autographed my copies of Last Call, Declare (actually signed for [livejournal.com profile] isomeme) and the Flamingo hotel hat Kiri picked up for me in Vegas.

One more panel tonight then I may or may not hit the party floor for a bit. I'm having slight digestive issues this weekend; so I'm probably going to call it an early night.
