Doug and the incredible shrinking truck!
Dec. 20th, 2006 06:00 pmSounds like a Roald Dahl book, don't it?
But it describes the last couple of days at work. Monday, I drove my truck, a 34-foot long flatbed. Tuesday, I drove our Ford F-350 (which is equipped as a flatbed.) Today? Today I drove a Ford F-150. Tomorrow I'm fully expecting a clown car if my truck isn't ready.
In other news, I've been hit hard by some sort of yuck. So bad that a transit cop asked me if I needed to go to the hospital at the Alamden light rail station, and then gave me a ride home. Hopefully, this is just a passing thing.
(Noticing the TV) Am I the only person on Earth who listens to all the lyrics of a song? We just had a commercial For something or other. It consisted of multiple images of jouyous reunions at Christmas; kids running to grandparents, young lovers, a soldier returning home just in time to open presents, etc. The music was I'll Be Home For Christmas. Which of course is about not being able to make it home. Annoying.
