Another tenuous connection with Iraq.

From this morning's SFGate story on the fighting in Fallujah:

The 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, a unit of the 25th Infantry Division, was ordered out of Fallujah and back to Mosul late Thursday.

I served in the 1/5 INF in Hawaii. Back then we were a light infantry unit (translation: we walked everywhere which was real fun on a volcanic island) but now they seem to be one of the new breed of medium Stryker wheeled units.
