I am not a Juror, I am a free man!
Sep. 26th, 2002 03:16 pmActually, I am a juror.. number 6 to be precise. Neither lawyer seemed to put out by a cancer survivor on the jury, they just determined that I could be impartial and judge the case on it's merits.
I did manage to get a laugh. When the entire mob of potential jurors was in the room, the bailiff was instructing us on courtroom procedure, and mentioned that the wearing of hats was prohibited, except for religious reasons.
"So," says I, "Do the Giants count?" I was, of course, wearing my Giants cap.
Supposed to last 4-5 weeks. We'll see what happens.
