Forgot to mention yesterday that kshandra and I have moved the computer into the office! At last! No more trips to the bedroom bookshelves that one reference work I need.. they are all within five feet of me! Woo-Hoo! Our two main bookshelves are in here, with one being assembled in the living room to hold selected books and some of the stuff we've accumulated over the years.
Now, we just have to hang the cool art I bought at BayCon this year (first time I've ever had enough money to bid on something, and I got it on the first bid! I couldn't believe it)
and finish sorting out books and stuff.

Date: 11 Oct 2001 14:43 (UTC)I can't understand this mania for having a dozen different names on the net. It just confuses the hell out of us with short term memory problems. That's why I have to use my "watch" filter early and often in Usenet.
Kirsten is koosh, kshandra, kiri, and good knows what else. I don't know what-all you use, except "cynical innocent in alt.calahans. I'm Doug. Everywhere. *One* email address, one name. Works for me.

Date: 12 Oct 2001 01:57 (UTC)I don't use nearly as many names as I used to. My realname field changes a lot, but everyone knows me as Rose. However, someone got to rose@livejournal.com before I did. (That happens a lot.) So I picked the next username I had handy. *shrug* Nothing so complicated about it.
