All in favor, say Eye!

Had me second appointment with the eye clinic. The good news is that my left-eye vision has improved from 20/150 last week to 20/40 today. Right is constant at 20/25, which is about where it has been for decades. My glasses still are useless for anything but long-range work. I'm being referred to a specialist in uveitas. Wee.
Of course, this couldn't have been timed worse. We are planning on moving by June, and need every dime to get the new place and move. So having new meds to pay for, extra doctor appointments to make.. it's a big drain on the finances. And I still haven't heard anything from SSA.
According to the doc, I've broken up about half the scarring (!) on my left iris. Hopefully, more will get knocked off as I continue the eye drops. But I know that I'm going to need new glasses when this is over. Yet another expense. We'll have to see if our insurance covers glasses,,,
I am really tired of being sick all the time. Could someone stop the world? I want to get off here.

bummer. Another curiosity question: At 20/40 and 20/25 does that make close up stuff smaller or fuzzier? G'luck with the insurance. If not, could the Lyons Club which collects old glasses maybe have a match? (just a guess)

Date: 13 Mar 2003 08:07 (UTC)My vision is really od right now. I can read without my glasses, but for distance vision, I need them. I haven't been able to read without them for 26 years. Things are fuzzy, but part of that is the uvitas.
