I didn't think you EVER wanted to visit the east coast. Especially not in Winter. ( granted NYC is hot compared to Albany, but just ask [livejournal.com profile] kshandra, our skyline is better... ) So what's the deal here, only one of you can come to NYC at a time? I had no idea we had a quota in place, it might be best for the city! {evil Grin}

*slap* happy?

Kirsten went back east with Rose for a memorial service. I'm going back to meet a friend, who invited me and is paying my way.

Cold? I can deal. I'm just hoping for snow!

Wow! You slapped me! That's more physical contact than I've had from you in real life! (LOL) Ok, I do remember a nice firm handshake in front of your friends house 6.5 years ago (in the dark even!). Have fun! Please wave to the North every once in a while... Fred and I are making it to NYC for the ides of March. Wish we could have met up. Have a great (safe) trip. I'll be sure to send you save travel vibes for you and your luggage.

A memorial service?
A friend?
I won't mention the connection between the two, other than to say that I feel _you_ are obliged to point it out, and that I am disappointed that you haven't already.

A memorial service?! Not just any memorial service but a service for my husband!!! How can you say that so casually????? And if you can be so casual about my husband's death, you might want to rethink whether you are my friend at all. I personally find the way you referred to Liam's service insulting.

Mea Culpa

You're right. When trying to be repspectful, I went to far.

Kirsten went to NYC with Rose in November 01 for the memorial service for Liam Colhoun, Helen's hisband, who lost his life in the WTC attack.

A few months after that, Helen and I began chatting on AIM, and develped a strong friendship. She's ivited me out to visit with her, and I am extremely grateful.

Folks, I really don't know how to handle things like that. I apologize.
