They don't normally come right over our place though. It looks like he had been put into a racetrack hold; probably to deal with a runway or tower issue.

Ah, C-130s. Stepdad dealt with them coming in & out of Saigon back in the '60s. Put a big enough motor on a brick and it will fly.

He also has lovely slides of vacation in Thailand whilst in the service. Very green.

Next time he's in town he can tell you about the time the Air Force had him opening a helo base near the altitude limit of the helos they had there.
