First day on the latest variation of medications.

After snorting, inhaling, swallowing and rinsing every thing else, I decided to take one of my anti-anxiety pills to see how it worked. "May Cause Drowsiness" is a listed side effect. Took the tiny little pill, and ten minutes later I was sound asleep. I slept, off and on, for the next eight hours. Well, if you're off in dreamland it's hard to be anxious, right?

Setting these babies aside for "as needed" use.

What's Denis Leary's line? '"May Cause Drowsiness"? It should %$%#in' read "Kiss Your Friends and Family Goodbye". "Don't Make Any Plans"'.

I've had Lorazepam. It's good stuff.

I've dealt with plenty of drugs that cause drowsiness. Some left me a little wobbly, others caused me to need frequent naps, but I've never had one just knock me out like that before.

My Flexoril comes with a warning that I'm not supposed to drive or use heavy equipment.

Heavy in my case means eyelids.

(In from [livejournal.com profile] kshandra -- hi!)

Would you believe I'm still conscious after three milligrams of that stuff? :) Neither does my dentist!

Warning to one who is just starting (relatively speaking) from one who wasn't warned at all: benzos are addictive and has a vicious withdrawal syndrome. Ugh.
