Not in the hospital.

Back from the doctor. He, his nurse, and random strangers were quite impressed by my swollen legs. After some poking and prodding, it was decided that some changes would be made. We're cutting back on the Prednisone, and hoping to phase it out in a few days. Going back to using Qvar daily to get the necessary steroids directly into my lungs, starting a course of Lasix and Potassium to deal with the edema. I'm going to have a new hobby.
Also now have a big, happy, bottle of Vicodin. For the first time in a week, I'm not in pain, just a vague sense of discomfort. Some of this comes from the utterly ridiculous position I'm typing from right now. I'm slumped down in my desk chair with my feet up on the dresser we have in the living room. My wireless keyboard is on my lap, and I'm running my mouse on my chest. I am under standing orders not to stand.
I'll be talking to him again on Monday for a progress report.
Worst part of the day was having to walk from my doctor's building to the main hospital for yet another chest X-ray, then back over to the first cluster to pick up my meds at the pharmacy. Which was packed. I've never seen such a line at Kaiser. After we were finally done, mom and I hit Denny's for lunch, as she has an appointment up here and it made no sense for her to drive me home and he all the way back to her place then back up here again. Good food at our weird Denny's. We ended up talking about our respective adventures in New York for some reason. How can you go to NYC and not ride the subway?
I think a nap is in my immediate future. I'm wiped out.
