And now features a new line! I've been diagnosed with adult-onset asthma. Whee. Or wheeze, as the case may be.
Dr. Butcher, the pulmonary specialist I saw today, was very optimistic about controlling the problem with the Qvar I'm already on. For the next week I'm taking something different (Advair) then going on a maintenance daily Qvar regimen. I'll keep the Combvient for crisis moments.
Pending a meeting with my Primary Care doc on Friday, I'll be back at work on Monday. Speaking of which, I dropped by there to pick up some paperwork they wanted me to fill out, and ended up chatting with the owner for a while. I let him know that I was interested in moving inside if a position opened up that was less physically demanding. I also helped draft the physical requirements for a Lord & Sons route driver. Something they had never bothered to commit to paper before.
It's good to have a name for the problem, and a plan to defeat it, but I'm really getting tired of my body doing this.
