My seatmate on the flight back from Chicago commented favorably on my Giants hat. (She also lives in Fremont.) So did the people at the food court at SFO, one of whom was wearing a Giants jersey. (At this point, I realized that the orange cap on the peak of the hat had fallen off sometime yesterday. Boo!)
Considering that there appears to be a subset of Chicagoans still living off of the Stanley Cup victory, it may take a while for us to get over this. If we ever do.
