While waiting for an order to be filled at one of our vendors, I bemoaned my lack of a simple tool, the stud finder. We have a lot of framed artwork, and more waiting to be framed, along with a set of shelves we never got around to putting up here. I want to do it right at the new place.

The guy at Bay Tool said he thought that he had a good stud finder.. one that came with a laser level. Since both [livejournal.com profile] kshandra and I are a bit off-level, that seemed like a good idea. A qucik call to Kiri to approve spending about 24 bucks, and we were the proud owners of a Straight-Line 2 Tool Combo Kit.

Fear my coherent light!

Fred & I find those little toy construction-set magnets (the ones that come with small iron balls) work well.

But... Kiri already *has* a stud finder.

I mean, she found you, didn't she? ;-)
