In another community which shall remain nameless, someone actually tried to insult me by calling me a nerd.

Really. He called me a nerd and meant it to hurt.

I laugh. I hung out with itty-bitty phone phreaks before we got a computer and thanks to a friend's father, nearly unlimited access to the Xeorx PARC mainframe. Then we were embryonic hackers, exploring this brave new world in between the latest Apple ][ v. TRS-80 chess war. I helped to write a program in BASIC that generated Traveller characters.

Speaking of RPGs, I've been playing, running, and occasionally writing for them since 1977.

I have an unhealthy obsession with penguins.

I have attended, worked, and been a guest at many SF cons over the past quarter century.

I have a vast collection of obscure Canadian rock music.

I have an account at ThinkGeek.

95% of my t-shirts have a message.

I was part of a email-based virtual community devoted to stalking David Duchovny.
