The Question: Basic run through of the Battled of Stalingrad?

I am looking all over the internet and all i can find are very detailed articles on the battle of stalingrad. Any help would be great

The Wiki article is too detailed? OK?

Wehrmacht Army Group B: "We can haz Stalingrad!"

Soviet 62nd Army: "O RLY?"

Wehrmacht Army Group B: "YA RLY!"

Soviet 62nd Army: "NO WAI!"

pew! bang! pew!

Wehrmacht Army Group B: "Stalingrad sucks."

Soviet 1st Guards Army, 5th Tank Army, and 21st Army: "Look behind you."

Wehrmacht Army Group B: "How'd you get there? Now we iz surrounded!"

Hitler: "Make Paulus a Field Marshal. No German Field Marshal has ever surrendered!"

Paulus: "Cool. I'm a Field Marshal. We surrender."

Hitler: "D'oh!"

Remnants of Army Group B: "At least we'll be well treated as prisoners of war.. why are the Russians laughing like that"?

That's as simple as I can make it without resorting to hand puppets.

shorter:
Germans attack.
Russian Vodka keeps Russians warmer than German Beer does the Germans.
Russians win.

It would have almost been kinder to line up all the surrendering (cold, starving, etc) Germans and just shoot them right there. But Russia was, as usual, running low on bullets and slave labor...

I'm sure the handpuppet version would also find its educational niche!

See what I mean? You could tour the schools, putting on multi-purpose puppet shows. Cost-efficient and educational way of teaching the kids "history" and "health" all at once.

Don't forget to crack open a cold commemerative soda while you're translating history for the modern teenager.
