We needed this, but it is an awful mess

Working our way into a third year of drought, California was hoping and praying for significant rainfall. Well, we got it. Three storms have hit the Bay Area head on this week before heading off to (hopefully) supercharge the snowpack in the Sierra Nevada mountains (our main source of year-round water.) These storms have it all, high winds, torrential downpours, lightning, and just now, hail. The SFGate has a good round up of the events. I heard from the driver covering my route, he's getting 70mph gusts in the San Joaquin Valley. Suddenly, cabin fever doesn't seem like such a bad thing.
When I heard the hail start, I grabbed my camera (which really needs a new battery) and got a couple of pictures.

We've been lucky and haven't lost power. So far.
