Had my best ever game of Civ IV - Beyond the Sword yesterday. 35K points, Diplomatic win in about 1850. but it's what happened earlier in the game that made me chuckle.

I'm still trying out different leaders and for this game chose Charlemagne and the Holy Roman Empire. Come to find out that my closest neighbor is Augustus Caesar and the Roman Empire. I obviously had to eliminate them just over the fact that our mail was always going to the wrong empire.

"No, no.. we're the Holy Roman Empire. You're looking for the Roman Empire. Look, just follow this road out past the Great Wall to Prague. Turn right, and you'll find Rome."

I will say that this victory was made much easier by getting four Settlers from various tribal camps. Gave me a huge boost right at the start.
