Sigh.
My doctor told me to drop off the DMV paperwork with the medical secretaries office. We went there, waited (while listening to a complete Entitlement Bitch whine about how it wasn't fair that she had to wait,) and I finally go in. I happily tell the person that I just need my doctor to sign this, and my life goes back to normal.
Not so fast. First, I have to fill out forms for Kaiser authorizing the release of my records. Fine. Do that. Then the Drone First Class tells me it will take 7 to 10 business days to process.
7 TO 10 FUCKING DAYS???? My doctor works in the same fucking building. He told me to come and he would sign the paper. My employer is getting tired of this, and so am I. I did everything but stand on the desk and scream. When I pointed out that the DMV office was right down the road and I would be picking the form up, the Drone told that normally patients weren't allowed to touch them. Because they assume we're dishonest. When I suggest that they simply place the papers in a sealed envelope and write "picked up under seal" on the edge of the flap then tape it down he looked stunned.
Learned that trick working in a classified documents room.
I left after being promised that the paperwork would be on Dr. Zadeh's desk today, and I would be called when they were ready.
That better happen Tuesday morning.
