We're going to Fourquet Fourchette.

We just need to make plane reservations, get to the airport, fly there, meet up with [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave and [livejournal.com profile] grimmwire and whoever they decide to bring.

Winning the lottery would help.

And this time, we'd make the time to drive out to the fearsranch. Then drive the Trans-Canada highway...

Yeah, need to win the lottery tonight.

(Yes, the food there was that good.)

We were there the first night of the convention, when they were out of absolutely everything after getting "SURPRISE BUTTSEX WORLDCON" at lunch; [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave went through two or three of the selections on the Amerind menu before finding something that was still in stock.

The French onion soup was OMG; I'll definitely be having that again.

Man, it would have been good to have you guys out at the ranch; [livejournal.com profile] owldaughter and [livejournal.com profile] ashforestwalker and their son Liam came out for dinner, and then [livejournal.com profile] ai731 and [livejournal.com profile] baronscartop dropped by... Good company, good times :).

Oh, the "Forky-Fork" was good, wasn't it? Shame the service was so slow. I understand there were several other places, including at least one in the Old City, that were in the similar style. It's probably just as well that I didn't find them all, as my credit cards are screaming at me as it is.

As it was, we ate a lot of food court food, and I had take-out from the noodle place across the street from the hotel three times.

I really do want to go back and try some of those little restaurants that seem to be tucked into every nook and cranny of Old Montreal. But only after I win the lottery and get bone reconstruction surgery on my jaw and implanted posts to hold my dentures in place.

"Forky-Fork"? Love it. I just wish I knew they had a beer sampler when we went.
