I'd guess you'd need a staff of about 20 to maintain it, and assuming an average salary of 50k each, and the need for benefits, etc., maintenance costs are about $2 mil per year. So you'd need another 40 mil in the bank to make sure you could handle the maintenance.

We'd contract out the landscaping, pool maintenance, and cleaning. That would keep the costs down a bit. Probably have at least a part time chef and catering service on retainer.

I know that house! I used to mow the lawn there back when I was in HS. The owners then (I don't know about the current folks) were pretty cool & let me invite a few friends over for a swim once. The pool didn't have the fountains then, rather it was some sort of faux Greek themed place.

If you got that place you might consider renting out the carriage house & a few other rooms to help defray expenses.
