OK, we can shelve the idea of eating the neighbors.

One of Kiri's much delayed EDD checks finally showed up, saving us from starvation and worse (I was down to only three beers!) Saved from the prospect of performing in a Donner Party LARP, we hit Costco this morning. I ate beforehand. Kirsten didn't.

Three hundred dollars later, we emerged victorious. Most of what we got were staples (beer) along with a new crockpot. We also got new night lights, and a guy named Doug sold me a bottle of wine Clue to area vintners: If you want a guaranteed sale, come to the Almaden Costco and set up a table. I'm a sucker for buying from producers.

After getting home I started on trying to remove a lot of the garbage that has piled up, and did a metric fuck-ton of dishes. It is, however, 95°F currently, so work has been suspended in favor of sitting around and sweating.
