The theme for the ads this year has been what would a gamer do? These show typical everyday situations with baseball solutions. This was filmed in the Safeway just down the street from AT&T Park, a popular destination for Giants fans before and after games.

A close second is the woman bringing home a scruffy looking biker to meet her parents. She stops, and manager Bruce Bochy steps out of the bushes to say "Sometimes, no matter how much you like a guy, you gotta make a change." The woman signals for a change, and up runs a nice, clean-cut preppy type. Bruce is left to encourage the rejected biker with some words of wisdom.

I love that "piling on" ad. Now if only they'd actually do it when people break the express lane. I've complained at people with more than 15 items -- usually lots more -- and they get all huffy at me, like I'm the one in the wrong.

Isn't fighting considered "bad" in professional baseball?

Technically.

Not what I think of when I hear "gamer."

That word has many meanings in my life. In this case, it's drawn from broadcaster (and former pitcher) Mike Krukow's tendency to label any fan who makes a good catch or is decked out in Giants gear a "gamer." He also applies it to anyone on the field who makes a play without regard to potential injury.

He's also known for the phrase "grab some pine, meat!" and for using the telestrator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telestrator) to eliminate people in the stands.
