A good day.

With Kiri home, and needing to drop off paperwork at the Stanford Institute For The Sticking of Cold Metal Objects in Unusual Places, we set out on the road. We had our usual barrel of fun.
First stop was Stanford. Kiri drove around the duck pond while I rand up with my paperwork. Yes, even with my health taking the three flights of stairs is faster than waiting for their elevator. To avoid mix-ups, I made sure that the neurologist's full name was written on the envelope I handed to the front desk, and I mentioned him and his nurse by name.
After that, food. We rolled over to Chili's for massive amounts of fajita orgasms. Their salsa was actually decent today. Pity I had a sore throat. I babied said sore throat with a Corona. Bueno!
Since I had entered a medical office, state law demanded that we visit GameScape. Several It Must Be Mine Items! were there.. Robin's Laws of Good Gamemastering, GURPS Special Ops, 3rd edition GURPS Modern Firepower, a few others that made my little mercenary hart go "gimme!"
After that, a decision. Kirsten had been playing around at the Kia website, making herself a car that we could actually afford in a few months. So I suggested we go out and actually look at one. She was a little leery of the hard sell (we've had bad experiences before) but I convinced her that if push came to shove, I'd shove harder.
They were actually very nice. They showed us the model we were interested in, made no attempt to make us sign anything once we explained our situation, and were very helpful. When we are ready, we are going back there.
A nice day. Kiri's going out dancing tonight, so I get to be a lazy bum. I know, what the hell is different about that?
