Did you date someone from your school? Well, the one date I actually went on was with someone from my school, so yes.

Did you win anything in Seniors Who's Who? I'm told I was a close second for Class Clown.

What kind of car did you drive? Ha.

It's Friday night...where are you? Getting ready for Rocky Horror, or cruising the El Camino with friends.

Were you a party animal? Not really. My group of friends had great parties, but I wasn't a big part of that scene.

Were you considered a flirt? Oh, hell no. Radiohead's Creep was actually written about my Junior year.

Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Those were all cut (except for the marching band) before I started. Didn't play an instrument, anyway.

Were you a nerd? Damn right! I took part in a chess match between a TRS-80 and an Apple ][. I had an email account in 1982 through Xerox PARC. I read Nobody Gets Out Of Here Alive religiously.

Did you get suspended/expelled? I never got caught.

Can you sing the fight song? Other than Y&T's Mean Streak, I don't think we had one.

Who were your favorite teachers? Ms. Pace, who taught English, Speech, and an English elective on science-fiction and fantasy. The only class I got an A in in all four years.

Where did you sit during lunch? Look at this. All us artists and gamers sat on the steps by the lower wall. That upper lawn triangle was the Senior Lawn, and death awaited the Frosh who stepped on it!

What was your school's full name? Leigh High School

School mascot? Longhorns

Homecoming court? It would have taken global thermonuclear war for me to move up enough rungs on the social ladder for this to happen.

If you could go back and do it again, would you? Surprisingly, yes. I wasted my chances because I didn't give a damn. I like my life, but often wonder what would happen if I could go back and give myself a kick in the butt. I'd also be able to buy Microsoft at .77 cents a share.

What do you remember most about graduation? That I was one of the few English speakers there. I dropped out halfway through senior year to attend an adult ed program that would let me take the GED and apply it as HS credits. Made up 3.5 years of work in two afternoons. My spring semester consisted of a few mornings of self-paced learning in History and American Government, hanging out at the Game Table for a few hours, then heading back to Leigh for rehearsals for the Spring Musical Annie Get Your Gun I had finally gotten a part, playing Charlie Davenport, manager of the Wild West Show. Having the first lines of the show, as well as having to start There's No Business Like Show Business... stressful, but fun, and we filled the joint for every night of the run.

Where did you go senior skip day? My senior skip day was about four months long.

Have you gained some weight since then? I weighed 127lbs when I took my physical at Oakland MEPS. This morning, I weighed in at 153. Not too bad.

Who was your Senior prom date? Again, Ha.

Are you planning on going to your 25-year reunion? If they have one, I might.

Who was your home room teacher? We didn't have that.

Did you play any sports? I lettered in Running In Terror.

Do you still talk to people from school? Not really. Lost contact with most of them while I was in the Army. Recently I reconnected with one of my best friends through Facebook.

What year did you graduate? 1984

The icon is a pretty good approximation of how I looked back then.
