what I had the hardest time with was the fact that a Sentator was present...*and* spoke! That's just appalling. Worse still, is the knowledge that other politicians have met with and/or spoken for or on behalf of this group. It really shouldn't surprise me...but it still kinda does.

The problem is that those people have votes, and if they go en masse to the torturer, he's that much closer to a win.
