I, the Jury

I'm on summons this week for Jury Duty, and last night I called the automated line for instructions. Had to report today. Damn.
At least the Civil Court building has a much nicer waiting room than the Hall of Justice does,
I'm not there 15 minutes when we get called up for a trial. Go up to the 5th floor, find the right room, and have a seat. Judge comes in, explains what the case is and how long it is expected to last. Sounds interesting, and is expected to last 4-5 weeks, so I can't really see an reason to be excused. I'm being deliberately vague about the case for obvious reasons.
So I get to go back tomorrow for jury selections. Let's see if they want me to sit in judgment.
