But since the Giants' season hasn't technically started yet, I can't really speak on the subject first hand.

Um, would the local Giants fan be upset if I went to a Giants-Phils game and held up the following sign?

"CONGRATULATIONS GIANTS - CELEBRATING FIFTY YEARS OF TICKING OFF NEW YORK"

Go for it! Of course, most of us love the entire history of the Giants organization (considering that we haven't won a WS for 54 frigging years...)

You don't know torture unless you're a Cubs fan ;)

October 26th, 2002. A date which will live in infamy (http://gridlore.livejournal.com/2002/10/26/)!

Try October 14th 2003 when Steve Bartman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bartman) interfered with the foul ball

Its 100 years since the Cubs won a World Series

As a fan of the team formerly known as the Cursed Ones, I remember how that feels. If the Sox can't get there, I want to see the Cubbies finish off the Damnyankees in four.

Thank you. :D

I rooted for the Sox in 2004 & 2007.

2005 & 2006 were awful World Series as a Cubs fans... first the Southside Thugs win, and then the bloody Cards the next year

That was a fan catching a ball that was into the stands. We suffered through blowing a 5-0 lead in what would have been the winning game of the World Series. I still want to nail Dusty Baker to a wall for not only pulling Ortiz, but for giving him the game ball in a contest that wasn't over!

The ball wasn't in the stands... he reached into the field.

Yeah, Dusty's decision was dumb
