Because around here, riding off into the sunset results in a flooded engine rather quickly.

[livejournal.com profile] kshandra left for That Thing In The Desert last night, after turning our poor PT Cruiser into a TARDIS with a really cool sound system. Seriously, you could not fit one more can of soda in that car.

She almost forgot her critters. That would have been tragic, and I would have had to deal with an angry elephant and tie-dyed teddy bear.

She called from [livejournal.com profile] firestrike's place last night, and will call when she hits Reno. This year, rather than shooting a man just to watch him die, she's been told that when she heads out of Reno, she must be trailed by twenty hounds. (50 penguin points to the first person to get both references.)

I miss her already.

I couldn't remember the first, but the second I knew, although I was introduced to the song by a cover by the Counting Crows.

(And damn you, [livejournal.com profile] gridlore, now the song is stuck in my head...)

She's now fed, rested, and on the road.
