WorldCon, Day -1

Today was the day I needed to come down early for a meeting with lysana and blackfyr for the Publications Division. After much fretting and packing, Kirsten and I got on the road will minimal forgetting of stuff.

I reached the Fairmont around 1245, and amazingly remembered where the Pubs room was. Went up, and chatted with Bob and Brenda for a while before going out in search of a Coke.

After a while it became clear that a meeting was not going to happen, and Brenda and I went to Johnny Rocket's for a late lunch/early dinner. Over hamburgers and really good french fries we had a nice conversation. I'm very happy to have reconnected with them.

Since there was really nothing for me to do there, I headed out for my Mom's place to crash for the nught. Other than an embarrassing moment of getting turned around in downtown San Jose where I used to live, the bus ride out was fine. At my mom's placem we watched the 49ers kick the Chargers' butts, 27-3.

So, tomorrow I head back to the Con by bus, and eventually meet up with Kirsten, david and Rose. If anyone wants to contact me, use the Voodoo message board or leave a message at pubs in the Fairmont.
