LOL That's actually right over the hill from us, about a 40 minute drive. I spent a lot of my teenage years at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (http://www.beachboardwalk.com/) where a lot of the exteriors for The Lost Boys was filmed.
We have the best roller coaster on the West Coast.. the Giant Dipper (http://beachboardwalk.com/02_giant_dipper.html). Built in 1924, you have to ride it late on a foggy night. sometimes, just before closing, they'll turn all the lights off and send you through in the fog.
