Back from my doctor appointment. No answers, but a few theories and some tests.

I'm getting a new doctor. The one I have now is so damn passive, he waits for you to ask for tests and the like. I'm the guy who barely made it out of high school. He's the guy with four years pre-med, four years of medical school, and another 4+ doing internships and residencies. Why do I need to suggest that a patient suffering from a pronounced disability centered in the region of the hips might actually need an X-ray of that region? Seriously, I had to ask about MRIs and CT scans. These are things the doctor needs to be explaining to me!

Thankfully, the wait at both labs was short (I got blood work done) and should hear back from them soon. Dr. C has two guesses: arthritis or muscle inflammation. I'm doubtful about the second. We'll see.

Other than dealing with Kaiser, it was a lovely day out and about with my Mom. We cooed over babies, made fun of old people (yes, my 70 year old mother makes fun of old people.) and just had a chance to chat for a while.

My 96 year old great aunt quit a seniors bowling league, as "they're a pack of dull old fogies", she rocks. Hell, I can't keep up with her.
