The Great Baseball White-Out Continues.
Scores of games are being canceled because of this freak storm. This includes the Giants-Pirates doubleheader scheduled for today. Losing these games makes things very tricky, since the two teams only share three common off days the entire season. I foresee a lot of games getting added to the last week of the season, and a late start to the post season.
I endure. The weather yesterday let me pretend it was January, and there wasn't any baseball anyway. At least today I have beer (yay!) and can watch The West Wing DVDs. But it's not the same. I mean, there's a difference between jumping up from the couch shouting "All fucking right!" after Omar Vizquel backhands a line drive to start a 6-4-3 rally-killing double play and doing the same when Sam and Josh find an obscure section of Congressional policy that allows them to insert an amendment into the trade bill.
