Something struck me last night about Livejournal.

Back when we first got together, Kirsten and most of her friends had Pacific Bell voice mail boxes. They shared their access codes with all their friends, and left updates on what they were doing, messages for each other, and random thoughts in the boxes.

Livejournal is the same thing! And looking at our combined friends list, I see a few very familiar names from those days gone by... Sylvan, are your ears burning?

It wasn't PacHell, it was VoiceNet, which eventually became American Voice Retrieval.

You know, sylvan and I are the only ones still using the same nicknames from that era. I wonder if christophine, dave_over and sossity are reading this.... ;-)
