We gave up a lot of ground, but the red zone defense was solid, including an interception in the end zone. Alex Smith threw for two TDs (Davis and Gore) and ran the best naked bootleg I've ever seen. The entire Seattle D bit. There wasn't a defender within twenty yards of Smith and I don't think anyone was even looking at him.
And SF beat up on Seattle both times they met, so if if SF beats Denver & The Little Red Birds while the Seahawks lose to SD & TB, the 49ers take the division. Which would be a heck of a shock, given their start this season. But it's possible!
(I then expect to see them creamed by the Cowboys in the playoffs, but I'm willing to grant you your moment of joy before that happens.)
On the bright side, a second nationally televised game showing Seattle to be wracked with foul weather and disastrous transport problems will help stem the tide of you damn Californians (and others!!!) moving up here. Losing to the 49ers is a small price to pay for not having to live with them!!! ;)
