gridloreOne of the things we here from the Washington talking heads is that no one could have predicted how things would turn bad in Iraq. I've heard from Rumsfeld, Cheney, and various press flacks and under-secretaries on the Sunday talk circuit.
Well, that's bullshit. Because in 1999 the military's CENTCOM (Central Command) conducted an exercise called Desert Crossing designed to explore the consequences of a US-led invasion to oust the Ba'athist government.
