An amusing Madden football moment.

gridloreMy 49ers were playing the Arizona Cardinals. I had the ball, 1st&10, on my 23 yard line. I call an off-tackle run to the left side.
My halfback, Jason Shelly, breaks outside, and fumbles after six yards. WR Antonio Lane alertly grabs the fumble and breaks downfield, racing 71 yards for the touchdown. After you make the extra point attempt, the game shows you a scoring drive summary. In this case it came up with "Shelly - 6 yard run" as the scoring play! Obviously, the machine can't track offensive recovery of fumbles. I checked, and sure enough Shelly got the credit for the TD.
Imagine the scene on the sidelines..
Candlestick crowd cheering madly as the offense comes off the field
49er1: "Alright! Incredible, man!"
Lane: "Thanks, the ball was right there and I.."
49er1: "What you talking about? There's my man, Shelly! Great run!"
Lane: "Him? He fumbled guys, I recoverd! I ran the length of the field!"
49er2: "Well, Shelly got the hand-off, so all you did was help."
Lane: screams in frustration, and calls his agent.
