Our store got all it's Hanukhah merchandise on last night's truck.
Yup. We're all ready for a holiday that was finished over a week ago. Of course, the Christmas stuff was up in September.

Date: 20 Dec 2004 15:19 (UTC)Here, they put up Chanukah decorations on the last day of Chanukah.
I think they just can't deal with the fact that we use our own calendar, so even though it's on the 25th day of Kislev every year, it's not always on the same day of December, or even IN December.
I am working all the shit hours here next week.
That is because next year, it's going to be 12/26-1/2. So between that and the Japanese New Year celebration I like to do, they ain't gonna see me after X'mas Eve until 2006.

Date: 20 Dec 2004 16:42 (UTC)BTW, it doesn't really make sense for last year either, since Hannukah started the 20th then. Which is a bit late for putting up merchandise.
2000 Dec 22-29
2001 Dec 10-17
2002 Nov 30-Dec 7
2003 Dec 20-27
2004 Dec 8-15
2005 Dec 26-Jan 2
2006 Dec 16-23
etc.
Then again, be glad they aren't trying to keep track of the Islamic calendar based stuff. Ramadan Will be in October by 2006...
