I don't know if sharing cures for hiccups works, cuz I've often wondered if it's just one person's method of dealing with them and they're as individualized as fingerprints. That said..
I find that drinking water very slowly works.. just little sips and swallows, lots of them, and don't let up for at least 30 seconds. Works for me, of course YMMV.
