gridloreSo I can chain Harry Turtledove to his desk and make him write the next trilogy in his US/CSA series. I just finished American Empire: The Victorious Opposition. Amazing. Simply amazing.
What was interesting was the number of characters from the first five books that he killed off. These characters were al entering their sixties, so they wouldn't be overly active in the next books, but it was sad to see some favorites pass away. His choice of deaths was amusing. Blood infection after cutting self while preparing a chicken dinner, dying "in the saddle", shot by a depressed lover.. nobody goes easy in a Turtledove book!
So, I'm going to LA. If I can get SF fans on the jury, I might even beat the rap!
